Information on the city of Aheloy
South of Nessebar runs a river called Aheloy. By the shores of this river is situated a village named Aheloy. It’s 3 km distant from the Ravda village and 6 km distant from Sunny Beach and Nessebar. In This area, in August 917 A.C, there was a great fight in which Tsar Simeon defeated the Byzantine army. During the war, Tsar Simeon ans his incredible offensive formation, pushed the Byzantine army to the sea and eventually killed them with the help of his Calvary regiments.
The river is ecologically clean and it’s favorable for fishing.
Aheloy is a great place for people who try to find tranquility by the seashores. There is a small stone beach and a quay for boasts. South of the village you can find a camping with the same name and a nice small beach.
